New Forest Rattler 18 August 100mile

http://www.newforestrattler.co.uk/

Andy T has taken the initiative to sign up a couple of people on this sportive, currently I think we are 4 people but we have not got the slots yet as we might sign up as a team.
Let us know if you want to join, or just sign up and we can sync travel and start times.

Prudential Ride London-Surrey 100 - 4th Aug 2013

A forum to discuss the arrangements for the inaugral running of what the organisers hope will grow into the cycling equivalent of the London Marathon.

We were discussing start times today wondering whether it will still be possible to ride as a group.

I am 6:46 which I think is the earliest of anyone here?  What time is everyone else?

Ride to Box Hill and back - 30th June

Last year, following a suggestion from Sarah and Heather, 15 of us enjoyed a club ride to go and climb Box Hill (rewarding ourselves with coffees and cakes at the cafe at the top) a few weeks before the Olympic Road Races.

Report here: http://www.maidenheadcc.org.uk/node/1017

Although there's no Olympics this year, we thought it would be a good idea to repeat the experience.  The return trip is just over 70 miles and last year we took about 6.5 hours including stops.

Course records?

I just wondered what the records were for the courses the club operates on?

I'm in no danger of breaking them but I was curious.

HCC234 is 21.34 by Rob English (according to http://www.timetriallingforum.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=18586).

Thursday Nights

It is amazing what a week can do to the TT conditions.

It will be almost pleasant this evening.(I hope)

This Sunday

...a reminder that a number of us are riding the 10 Thames Bridges 100km Audax from Jenner's Cafe starting at 9am (and the BBC are predicting highs of 17C!!).  Details are here http://www.aukweb.net/events/detail/13-102/.  Entries should be possible on the line, but it would probably be best to email the organiser first to confirm.

As a result of this, and with other absences at Sportives and elsewhere, note that there may be a lack of riders at the Clock Tower this week

I'm no weatherman, but...

.... I think describing the conditions at yesterday's TT as "fair" is pushing it a bit!!

Maidenhead CC - "fairly relaxed- eg not all racey- racey"

They haven't been introduced to the Bird Hills mob....
