Just a quick update of activities in the next few weeks over the Christmas / New Year period.

Sunday 18^th Dec – post club rides social

For several years the Bird Hills club ride has normally stopped for a beer (stronger or soft drink) on the last Sunday prior to Christmas.  This year with a little more organisation we will be stopping at the Beehive pub @ White Waltham for a drink.  It is hoped the Clock Tower ride will also join in and all other members are welcome to participate in the festivities.

Our exact arrival time will depend on the route, but planned arrival between 11.30-12 noon.  Hope to see lots of people.

Boxing Day Club 10tt

Peter has already posted this on the website, so I trust as many as possible will be in attendance.  Tradition states that riders should not try too hard for this event (chairman ie me please take note).  Hangovers, indigestion are all valid excuses for poor performance.  Fancy dress of the rider or bike is acceptable and highly recommended.

Christmas / New Year riding

Several regulars from the Bird Hills club ride are looking to go out during the Christmas / New Year period.  Start times and meeting points are likely to be dynamically decided based on who’s going out.  If anyone is interested in joining in please let me know and I’ll find a way (email, txt or Website message board) to keep people updated 

Club Dinner

This year the club annual dinner and award ceremony will be on the 21^st Jan 2012 at The Grenadier Guards Club in Windsor.  More details will be published at the beginning of Jan 2012 by Brian Simmons (ex Royal Butler and experienced event organiser).  – no pressure Brian.

Membership Renewals.

As from 1^st January 2012 club membership fees are due for renewal.  Details can be found at http://maidenheadcc.org.uk/membership.
